CHANGING LIVES. RESTORING FAMILIES. CREATING SECOND CHANCES.
Building Pathways to Hope, Restoration & Opportunity

IT CAN AFFECT AN ENTIRE FAMILY.
Families may face financial hardship, separation, changes in household responsibilities, challenges maintaining communication, difficulties visiting their loved one, and uncertainty about what comes next. And when someone returns home, a new set of challenges can begin. Returning citizens may face barriers involving housing, employment, finances, family reunification, mentorship, education, and rebuilding stability.
THAT'S WHY WE BELIEVE EXISTS.
We Believe Re-Entry Assistance Group, Inc. is a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated
to supporting individuals and families impacted by incarceration.
Our mission is to help returning citizens successfully transition back into society while helping families access practical resources, support, education, mentorship, community connections, and opportunities that encourage long-term success.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO NAVIGATE THE JOURNEY ALONE.
Incarceration can create challenges for spouses, partners, parents, children, and other loved ones.
Families may suddenly have to navigate responsibilities that were once shared while also trying to maintain meaningful connections with their incarcerated loved one.
Our goal is to help families identify appropriate resources, information, community connections, and support as they navigate the journey.
Your Executive Overview specifically recognizes that families can experience many of the same
hardships faced by returning citizens and establishes providing hope, guidance, resources, and
opportunities as part of the organization's purpose.
BUILDING A STABLE FUTURE IS THE NEXT STEP.
Successful reentry can require more than simply having a release date.
Returning citizens may need to rebuild employment, housing, finances, family relationships,
support systems, skills, and confidence.
We Believe seeks to help returning citizens identify resources and opportunities that can support
their journey toward greater stability, personal responsibility, self-sufficiency, and long-term
success.
Supporting families impacted by incarceration through resource navigation, emergency-
assistance referrals, community outreach initiatives, children's support programs, and other family-focused resources.
Helping eligible families maintain meaningful connections with incarcerated loved ones by
addressing certain transportation and visitation barriers when distance creates a significant
hardship.
Helping Spouses find employment when needed, returning citizens prepare for employment and
career opportunities through career coaching, résumé development, interview preparation,
workforce-readiness training, trade-school and certification guidance, and employer-
engagement opportunities.
Connecting participants with mentors who can provide encouragement, accountability,
guidance, goal-setting support, and real-world insight throughout the reentry journey.
Mentors may include successful returning citizens, business professionals, faith leaders,
community leaders, educators, skilled tradespeople, entrepreneurs, and other committed volunteers.
Providing support and resource connections designed to help returning citizens pursue stable
living environments as they transition back into the community.
Providing educational workbooks, reentry guides, family-support materials, and life-skills
resources designed to give participants practical tools they can use as they work toward long-
term success.
For some families, maintaining an in-person connection with an incarcerated loved one may
require traveling hundreds of miles and managing transportation, lodging, schedules, expenses, and other challenges.
Our Family Travel Assistance Program is designed to help eligible families address certain
transportation and visitation barriers when distance creates significant hardship.
STRONGER FAMILY CONNECTIONS CAN BE PART OF A STRONGER PATH
FORWARD.
We believe lived experience can become a powerful tool for transformation.
That's why we welcome successful returning citizens who have demonstrated personal growth,
stability, perseverance, and a commitment to helping others.
By sharing lessons learned and real-world experiences, returning-citizen mentors can offer
something especially meaningful to someone beginning the reentry journey:
HOPE.
GUIDANCE.
ACCOUNTABILITY.
AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT'S POSSIBLE.

Whether you're trying to support your family during a loved one's incarceration or you're preparing to rebuild your life after release, reaching out can be the first step toward identifying resources that may be available.
